Sesame noodles

Sesame noodles

It’s 10pm, and I’m both too hungry to wait for my food to cook and too picky :O to whip up a simple toast with peanut butter jelly.

Dakara! I made sesame noodles. Not much cooking needed, just boiling of the noodles, and that too I just dunk in my spaghetti in a pot of pre-boiled water from my electric kettle and left the stove to do the rest!

Simple dish, easy to make, best of all: It’s delicious!

Here’s what you need for the sauce (Serve 1. For the hungry cook!; and a rough estimate):

2-3 tbsp soy sauce
1 clove of garlic, minced. Or 2, if you like them garlicky.
1 tbsp sugar
1 teaspoon rice vinegar
1 tbsp of sesame oil
Hot cili oil 1/2 teaspoon or vietnamese hot chili sauce to a portion of your liking :D
1-2 tbspn hot water

The noodles back home (flour noodles or yellow mee: yum!) are preferable, but spaghetti can do too. In my case, cook the spaghetti al dente, and pour in the sesame sauce with your noodles, garnish it with chopped green onions and you’re done! But, since I don’t have green onions in my refrigerator, chopped cilantro works fine too. I added bird’s eye chili (cili padi!) for the extra kick!

Why are we constantly putting ourselves out from the pack? Why can’t we all reach a consensus and just agree on being this one complete unit for the last time? Forget your goddamned egos, and just be part of it! OMG I AM STEAMING MAD! Worst part is, I can’t be able to speak up and talk them into it!!!!

When it comes.

Today as I casually looked out the kitchen window when I was cooking, I saw two girls walked up to the apple tree in front of the hostel. One of them started digging the earth and I noticed the other girl was cradling something in her arms. Immediately I felt really sad, thinking of all events that revolved around me this past week. That, and my pet cat Comel who died in ‘96.

I still remembered how hard I cried and grieved her death. And that’s just a family cat. My thoughts went far ahead, until my chicken fillet was slightly burnt.

The best feeling in the world

teeaah:

You know the queasy feeling in your tummy after meeting or talking to another person? That feeling where you couldn’t stop thinking about them; the feeling whereby you smile out of the blue when you’re walking home; and where you recall every single conversation you had with that significant other?

It took me a while to realise this. Although I think the feeling is a bit stupid since it’s such a naive, teenager feeling, it is quite possibly the best feeling in the world. It is an instant rush of happiness running through your veins and every muscles in your face tries their hardest not to smile but you couldn’t! You gush out of nowhere and people think you look stupid smiling to yourself. It’s that feeling where when you’re walking, you just feel like dancing instead. I’m personally a skipper during these times, but it’s equally identical.

I’m not sure if what I’m describing is love or a periodical euphoria. It’s different than having a crush. This is a more genuine thing. For instance, you’re just doing your own business and then suddenly your mind just started wandering towards that significant other. You begin to smile, and every part of your body begins to be jovial. I’m doing a bad job describing this feeling, aren’t I?

But whatever it is: I miss that feeling, and it only happened to me once. Although I’m happy now, nothing could ever compare to how happy I was during that duration.

She described the feeling perfectly. It’s called Love, hun.
